Versailles Chateau Castle French Wall Tapestry SIZE:58"W x 42"H as reflected in this groupThis tapestry depicts a view of Versailles from the Avenue de Paris (c. 1662) as it looked prior to its expansion by Louis XIV. The design of this jacquard wall tapestry is inspired from a painting by Pierre Patel (1605 1676). This impressive view from Versailles' castle and gardens would be the oldest representation of the abode.
